Venue:
BE HERE, Rue Dieudonné Lefèvre
4 1020 Bruxelles
The two-day event will gather over 250 people in Brussels, between creators of NEB projects, local and regional authorities, and other relevant stakeholders across EU. It will serve as a forum for learning and exchange and feed the debate on how to make the most out of the initiative, how to overcome the existing challenges with its implementation, as well as reflect on the role of cohesion policy in supporting the NEB implementation.
The event will offer the perfect occasion to inspire a community of policy actors with examples of good NEB transformations of our living spaces, and to further promote the implementation of the initiative, by fostering mutual learnings to overcome the challenges that are still faced when implementing the NEB.
The first day of the event will be dedicated towards building a Community of NEB Practitioners in the context of cohesion policy. It will provide an informal platform for exchange between the creators of NEB projects, implementers of cohesion policy and local actors from across the EU.
The official opening of the event will take place on the second day, 22 June, followed by a High-level Panel Discussion, which will provide an opportunity to reflect on the added value of the NEB to enhance the life of citizens across European territories.
The second day also marks the culmination of the NEB Prizes 2023. The 15 winners of the Prizes 2023, and the laureates of the of the biggest dedicated EU call under the European Urban Initiative call will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on 22 June at 15:30 CET.
You can follow the official Opening, the High-level Panel, and the Awards Ceremony online in the official NEB Prizes platform.
